CANYON AND RAVINE DESCENT

This activity consists in going down narrow water courses. The way is made on foot, and, sometimes, rappelling down. Though this activity can take place in any time of the year, the most advisable season to make it is from June to October.

NAME OF THE ACTIVITY:

Going down Almanchares river ravine

LOCATION: La Axarquia county

DESCRIPTION:

It is a wonderful leisure activity in which we will descend by this river of clear waters. We will get to it by an area nearby one of the most typical villages of the Axarquia. We will go by the left side of the valley, quite high over the bottom of it, being this only one of the incentives of the activity.

Once we get to the river itself, the instructor will explain to every one how to place all the technical material ( neoprene suits and harnesses), and the basic rules to make this activity safe. Finally, we will initiate the descent to the river, with its ponds and cascades that are one of the most wonderful places in summer in our area.

LAS ANGOSTURAS DESCENT

Going down Las Angosturas

LOCATION: Costa del Sol

DESCRIPTION:

The village of Benahavis ( in the Western part of the coast ) is situated over a part of the Guadalmedina river. It is a very entertaining way through the bed of the river, with water going out from the stones, going down between big ponds to the popular “ Charco de las Mozas “

GREEN RIVER RAVINE DESCENT

NAME OF THE ACTIVITY:

Going down the Green river

LOCATION: Granada County

DESCRIPTION:

Spectacular aquatic route by the warm waters of this river in the heart of Sierra Almijara, that goes down till the Tropical Coast in Granada.

Once we get to the river itself, the instructor will explain to every one how to place all the technical material (neoprene suits and harnesses), and the basic rules to make this activity safe.
